Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Five Star Funnel ("we," "us," or "our") collects through fivestarfunnel.co, the review pages we create for businesses, and our demo page, and how we use and protect it.

The short version: we collect only what we need to run the service. We don't sell your information, we don't use advertising or analytics trackers, and private feedback from review pages is emailed to the business. If the business uses our optional owner dashboard, the feedback is also saved so they can read it there, and it is deleted after 12 months or sooner if they delete it.

1. Information we collect

When you contact us

If you use our contact form, we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, and any message you write. If you email us, we receive your email address and message.

From businesses that use our service

To build a review page, we collect the business name, logo, Google review link, brand color, and the email address where private feedback should be sent.

On review pages

When a customer visits a business's review page, we receive the star rating they choose. If they choose 1 to 3 stars and send feedback, we receive the text they write. We don't ask for a customer's name or email address on review pages, so please avoid including personal details in feedback you don't want the business to see. On our demo page, nothing you enter is sent anywhere.

For businesses that use our owner dashboard, we also count visits to their review page and how many visitors choose 4 or 5 stars. These are anonymous daily totals, not tied to you. A temporary marker in your browser's session storage (cleared when you close the tab) stops the same visit from being counted twice.

Automatically

Like most websites, our servers and hosting provider automatically receive basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the date and time. We use this to deliver the Site, keep it secure, and prevent spam and abuse (for example, by limiting how many forms can be sent from one address in a short time).

2. How we use information

  • to respond to your questions and requests;
  • to set up, provide, and support our services for businesses;
  • to deliver private feedback from review pages to the business it was written for;
  • to keep the Site and our services secure and to prevent spam, fraud, and abuse;
  • to improve the Site and our services; and
  • to comply with the law and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

3. How review pages handle feedback

  • 4 or 5 stars: you are sent to the business's Google review page. Any review you post there is submitted to Google, not to us, and is covered by Google's own privacy policy and terms.
  • 1 to 3 stars: the feedback you write is emailed privately to the business owner. We do not publish it. If the business uses our owner dashboard, it is also saved so the business can read it there, and it is deleted after 12 months or as soon as the business deletes it. Otherwise we do not store it. It passes through our email delivery provider, which may keep delivery records for a limited time.

The business that receives your feedback decides how to use it and is responsible for handling it under its own privacy practices. To ask about feedback you sent, contact that business directly.

4. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run our services:

  • Service providers who work on our behalf, such as our website hosting provider, our email delivery provider, our database provider (for owner dashboards), and the service we use to store review page settings. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • The business you are reviewing, which receives the feedback you choose to send.
  • For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Five Star Funnel.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

5. Cookies

We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. The only cookies we set are security cookies that keep our administrators, and business owners using their dashboard, signed in. They are not set for visitors or customers leaving a review.

6. How long we keep information

We keep contact form messages and emails for as long as needed to respond, work with you, and keep reasonable business records. Feedback from review pages is delivered by email and stays in the business's inbox; for businesses with an owner dashboard, a copy is kept for up to 12 months, and anonymous daily visit totals for up to 90 days. Information used to prevent spam, such as IP addresses, is held only briefly. Information about businesses that use our service is kept while we provide the service and deleted or archived after it ends.

7. Security

We protect information with measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing dylan@fivestarfunnel.co. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under local law, and we will respond to requests as required by that law. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. Children's privacy

Our Site and services are meant for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Where information is processed

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be processed outside your home country.

11. Links to other sites

The Site and review pages link to other websites, including Google. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, so please review their policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
